YLW has a long and proud history of supporting the women of Yale Law School and serving as an agent for change in legal education and the legal profession. In 2012, we launched the Yale Law Women Oral History Project to learn more about how we got started and how we have developed over the years.
Through the Oral History Project, we hope to better understand the experiences of women at the law school during the past century and how these women have endeavored to build a community and a platform for themselves – including through Yale Law Women. This project will help us situate today’s Yale Law Women in the history of women at the law school and appreciate what we have accomplished and what work remains for us.
If you have information about the history of Yale Law Women, we hope you will contribute to the Oral History Project!
